JY Concepts wants VerseFlip to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

• Pages work with a keyboard, with a “Skip to content” link and visible focus outlines.
• Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines in both light and dark mode.
• Pages have a clear heading structure and page landmarks.
• New verses from “Flip another verse” are announced to screen readers.
• Animations are turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Text can be enlarged with your browser’s zoom without breaking the layout.

Known limits

The spam check on the signup form is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which we don’t control. Verse images are pictures of text; the same verse is always shown as regular text on the page.
