The psalmist talks back to his own discouragement.

Present suffering is small next to the glory to come.
Romans 8:18And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The promise of a day with no more tears, death or pain.

When body and heart fail, God remains our strength.
Psalm 73:26For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing, not even death, can separate us from God's love.

Jesus' words to a grieving sister: I am the resurrection and the life.
John 11:25Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
The God of all comfort comforts us so we can comfort others.

Christians grieve, but not as those without hope.
