Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JY Concepts (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use verseflip.com (the “Site”). JY Concepts is based in New York, USA. Questions: hello@verseflip.com.

What we collect

  • Email signups. If you subscribe to the daily verse email, we collect your email address, the date and time you signed up, the page you signed up on, and a record of what you agreed to. We don’t ask for your name. This is stored in a database with our hosting provider, Cloudflare.
  • Spam protection. The signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks signals from your browser and device (such as your IP address and browser details) to tell people from bots. The form also checks how long the page was open before you submitted it. We don’t store these signals.
  • Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referring sites, countries and browser types. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you personally.
  • Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks.
  • Your settings. If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply.

We don’t have user accounts and don’t collect payment details. Please don’t send us sensitive personal information.

How we use it

To send the daily verse email you asked for, to run, protect and improve the Site, to answer your messages, and to meet legal obligations. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, our legal bases are your consent (the daily email) and our legitimate interests (security, statistics and replying to you).

Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the Site (Cloudflare, and an email delivery service once daily emails begin), when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or transfer of the Site. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

We plan to show ads to keep VerseFlip free. There are no ads yet. Before ads start, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy, and where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) we will ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are used.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Visit statistics are kept only in aggregate. Cloudflare keeps technical logs for a limited time under its own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent to emails at any time, and object to how we use it. Every email will include an unsubscribe link. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to know, correct and delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we don’t sell or share it for advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for using these rights. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us their email, contact us and we will delete it.

Where your data is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or service can be completely secure.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will say so on the Site.
